My name is Mark Astbury and I am MD of eclipse marketing, a full service marketing agency based in Hilliards Court on Chester Business Park.
In May we will celebrate our 30th birthday – dealing with the current situation is not quite how I envisaged the period leading up to this landmark!
I am delighted that we have been appointed to by the Club to take over responsibility for the website and to support CBC’s marketing endeavours. The design and production of this newsletter is our first contribution!
I first attended a club event back in 1987 when I was a young advertising sales rep at The Chester Chronicle. Mr Hunt (Tom) was Chairman of Chronicle Newspapers at the time (as well as being President of the Club) and my Advertising Manager, Lynne Wood, took me and other team members to an event at The International Hotel. In those days, newspapers had a very strong social / drinking culture and we were usually among the last to leave.
Three years later, when we set up Eclipse, I became a member of the club myself. As a proud Cestrian, with many clients, suppliers and business partners locally, I am very proud that eclipse marketing can now work with the Club.
During the current time, marketing budgets are obviously under the microscope and it is vital that businesses strike the right tone with their messages. If we can be of assistance in any way to Club members, including an informal chat, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
